1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of Walkland (the "App"), a location-based walking & running territory game provided by the Walkland team (the "Operator"). By installing or using the App you agree to these terms.
2. The service
- The App records your walking/running routes and lets you capture the areas you pass as virtual territory made of hexagonal cells.
- Territory and rankings run in weekly seasons that reset automatically.
- The service is free; ads may be shown, and some convenience features may be offered as paid options (e.g. subscriptions).
3. Safety notice (important)
- Always stay aware of your surroundings and traffic. Watching the screen while moving is dangerous.
- Do not enter dangerous areas (roads, rail tracks, construction sites), private property or restricted zones. In-game territory is purely virtual and grants no rights over real places.
- Exercise within your physical limits. The App does not provide medical or health advice.
- You are responsible for accidents, injuries or legal violations that occur while using the App.
4. User obligations
- Do not cheat — no mock locations / GPS spoofing, no recording while in vehicles, no automation tools.
- Do not use nicknames or public content that infringe others' rights or are offensive.
- Do not interfere with the normal operation of the service (attacks, exploiting vulnerabilities, etc.).
5. Anti-cheat measures
The Operator may invalidate scores or territory and restrict features for records flagged as manipulated. Repeated or malicious cheating may lead to service restrictions.
6. Virtual items, ads and subscriptions
- In-game items earned via rewarded ads are virtual entitlements with no cash value; they are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Payment, cancellation and refunds for paid subscriptions follow Google Play policies.
- Territory and scores expiring at the weekly reset is normal game behavior and is not compensated.
7. Changes and discontinuation
The Operator may change game rules (scoring, reset cycle, etc.) to improve the service; material changes will be announced in the App. The service may be suspended in whole or in part for unavoidable reasons.
8. Limitation of liability
The App and service are provided "as is". GPS records may contain inaccuracies, and to the extent permitted by law the Operator is not liable for damages caused by missing or inaccurate records, network failures, and similar issues.
9. Governing law
These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
